...RICH MOISTURE ASSOCIATED WITH REMNANTS OF ODILE TO MOVE ACROSS
THE WEST...

AS THE REMNANTS OF ODILE MOVE INTO A SOUTHWEST STEERING FLOW
WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY RICH MOISTURE WILL MOVE ACROSS FAR WEST
TEXAS AND SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO. AS SUCH THE CHANCE OF RAIN...SOME
HEAVY RAIN...WILL INCREASE WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY ESPECIALLY FROM
CULBERSON COUNTY...INCLUDING THE GUADALUPE MOUNTAINS...INTO
SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO. THE CHANCE OF RAIN WILL INCREASE IN AREAS
FARTHER EAST AND SOUTH TOO LIKE PARTS OF THE PERMIAN BASIN AND
THE DAVIS MOUNTAINS. MANY OF THESE AREAS RECEIVED HEAVY RAIN ON
FRIDAY AND SATURDAY OF LAST WEEK AND THE GROUNDS ARE ALREADY NEAR
SATURATION. ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAIN WILL GENERATE RUNOFF QUICKLY
AND INCREASE THE CONCERNS FOR FLOODING AND FLASH FLOODING.

THE TIMING AND PLACEMENT OF ODILE`S REMNANTS ARE STILL UNCERTAIN
HOWEVER WITH ATMOSPHERIC MOISTURE ABOUT 150 PERCENT OF NORMAL THIS
PATTERN IS FAVORABLE HEAVY RAIN. WIDESPREAD AREAS OF CULBERSON
COUNTY AND SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO MAY RECEIVED ONE HALF TO THREE
QUARTERS OF INCH OF RAIN WITH LOCAL HIGHER AMOUNTS NEARING 2 INCHES.
FLASH FLOOD WATCHES MAY EVENTUALLY BE ISSUED WITHIN THE NEXT 24
TO 48 HOURS.
