...Notable river level rises observed on the Pecos River...

The Pecos River at Artesia New Mexico is cresting now just below action
stage then will slowly fall today. The second rise will begin early
Friday and also crest below action stage. The Pecos River at Girvin is
expected to begin a slow rise early today and crest above action stage as
flow makes its way down the Pecos. Current forecasts show a crest around
15.5 feet is expected early Friday morning. The river is not expected to
reach flood stage at this time.
