...WIND ADVISORY THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING FOR THE PERMIAN
BASIN...UPPER TRANS PECOS AND SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO PLAINS...

.THE SURFACE PRESSURE GRADIENT WILL TIGHTEN OVER THE REGION THIS
AFTERNOON WITH SOUTHEASTERLY WINDS INCREASING TO 25 TO 35 MPH
SUSTAINED OVER THE PERMIAN BASIN. THESE STRONGER SURFACE WINDS
WILL SPREAD INTO THE UPPER TRANS PECOS AND SOUTHEASTERN NEW MEXICO
THIS EVENING, ESPECIALLY AS A LOW LEVEL JET INCREASES OVER THE
AREA. WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO DIMINISH LATE THIS EVENING.

ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM CDT /3 PM MDT/ THIS
AFTERNOON TO 1 AM CDT /MIDNIGHT MDT/ SATURDAY.

* TIMING...THIS AFTERNOON OVER THE PERMIAN BASIN... AND LATE THIS
  AFTERNOON AND EVENING OVER THE UPPER TRANS PECOS AND SOUTHEAST
  NEW MEXICO PLAINS.

* WINDS...SOUTHEAST WINDS 25 TO 35 MPH AND GUSTS TO 45 MPH.

* IMPACTS...SECURE LAWN FURNITURE...GARBAGE CANS OR OTHER OBJECTS
  WHICH COULD BE BLOWN ABOUT BY THE WIND. DRIVING MAY BE DIFFICULT
  ON AREA ROADWAYS.

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT WINDS OF 30 MPH ARE EXPECTED.  WINDS
THIS STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT, ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH
