THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST NEW
MEXICO...SOUTHWEST TEXAS AND WEST TEXAS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

PRECIPITATION CHANCES WILL BE ON THE INCREASE TONIGHT, ESPECIALLY
OVER SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO, THE GUADALUPE MOUNTAINS, THE UPPER TRANS
PECOS AND INTO THE DAVIS MOUNTAINS.  SOME OF THE PRECIPITATION COULD
FALL AS A MIX OF RAIN, SLEET OR SNOW IN THE GUADALUPE MOUNTAINS AND
NORTHERN LEA COUNTY. 1 TO 3 INCHES OF SNOW AND SLEET WILL BE POSSIBLE
IN THE GUADALUPE MOUNTAINS WHERE A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT.
LITTLE TO NO ACCUMULATION IS EXPECTED OVER NORTHERN LEA COUNTY BY
FRIDAY MORNING.

A HIGH WIND WARNING HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR GUADALUPE PASS WITH
SUSTAINED WINDS OF 35 TO 55 MPH. THESE STRONGER WINDS ARE EXPECTED
TO PERSIST THROUGH 11 AM MST FRIDAY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

AS STRONG WINDS THROUGH GUADALUPE PASS BEGIN TO SUBSIDE FRIDAY
MORNING, PRECIPITATION CHANCES WILL INCREASE MORE FRIDAY AFTERNOON,
AND BECOME LIKELY AREAWIDE FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY MORNING.
FLOODING OF LOW LYING AREAS WILL BE ONE OF THE PRIMARY CONCERNS
SINCE PERSISTENT MODERATE, AND AT TIMES LOCALLY HEAVY, RAINFALL
WILL RESULT IN RAINFALL TOTALS IN NEAR ONE INCH.

A WINTRY MIX OF RAIN, SLEET AND SNOW IS STILL POSSIBLE FRIDAY
INTO EARLY SATURDAY ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE GUADALUPE MOUNTAINS AND
THE SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO PLAINS. 1 TO 3 INCHES OF SNOW OR SLEET WILL
BE POSSIBLE IN THE GUADALUPE MOUNTAINS AND NEAR 1 INCH IN NORTH
LEA COUNTY. IF TEMPERATURES ARE ABLE TO DROP BELOW FREEZING IN
THESE AREAS, SOME TRAVEL PROBLEMS COULD MATERIALIZE, ESPECIALLY
FRIDAY AND SATURDAY MORNING.
