THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST NEW
MEXICO...SOUTHWEST TEXAS AND WEST TEXAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR GUADALUPE PASS THROUGH 11
AM MST FOR SUSTAINED EAST TO NORTHEAST WINDS OF 35 TO 50 MPH.

PRECIPITATION WILL FALL AS A MIX OF SLEET AND SNOW IN THE GUADALUPE
MOUNTAINS, ESPECIALLY THIS MORNING.  THEREFORE, A WINTER WEATHER
ADVISORY WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT THERE THROUGH TODAY AS UP TO 2 TO 4
INCHES OF ACCUMULATION COULD OCCUR.

A MIX OF SNOW AND SLEET WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE OVER PORTIONS OF
THE SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO PLAINS TODAY, MAINLY NORTH OF A CARLSBAD
TO HOBBS LINE. LESS THAN AN INCH OF SNOW AND SLEET IS EXPECTED TO
ACCUMULATE IN THESE AREAS.

FLOODING OF LOW LYING AREAS WILL BE ONE OF THE MAIN CONCERNS OVER
THE REST OF SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO AND WEST TEXAS TODAY AND TONIGHT
AS PERSISTENT MODERATE, AND AT TIMES LOCALLY HEAVY, RAINFALL WILL
RESULT IN RAINFALL TOTALS NEAR ONE INCH IN THE NEXT 24 HOURS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY



ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE ALONG AND SOUTH IF
INTERSTATE 10 SATURDAY.  SEVERE STORMS ARE NOT EXPECTED, BUT A FEW
COULD PRODUCE GUSTY WINDS AND OCCASIONAL LIGHTNING STRIKES.
