This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of southeast New
Mexico, southwest Texas and western Texas.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

Severe thunderstorms will be possible over the eastern Permian
Basin, south through the Lower Trans Pecos this afternoon and
tonight.  Large hail, damaging winds, brief heavy rainfall and
frequent lightning strikes will be possible.

Warm, windy and dry conditions will create critical fire weather
conditions along and west of a Seminole to Fort Stockton line,
excluding the Guadalupe and Davis Mountains this afternoon.  A Red
Flag Warning has been issued for these areas this afternoon and early
evening.

A High Wind Warning has been issued for the Guadalupe Mountains
today where westerly winds of 35 to 45 mph and gusts near 60 mph are
expected.  A Wind Advisory has been issued for the southeastern New
Mexico Plains, Van Horn and Highway 54 corridor, Marfa Plateau and
Davis Mountains this afternoon and early evening.  Westerly winds of
25 to 35 mph and gusts of 50 mph are expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY

The probability for widespread hazardous weather is low.

Mexico, southwest Texas and western Texas.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

Severe thunderstorms could occur along a dryline Tuesday and Tuesday
night, but mainly over the eastern Permian Basin, and perhaps the
Lower Trans Pecos. Large hail, damaging winds, frequent lightning
strikes, locally heavy rainfall are possible in these areas.

Strong winds will be possible in the Guadalupe Mountains, and in the
Davis Mountains above 6000 feet from Tuesday morning through
Wednesday morning. A High Wind Watch has been issued for both ranges
for westerly winds of 35 to 45 mph and gusts near 65 mph.

Warm, dry and windy conditions could result in critical fire weather
conditions Tuesday afternoon along and west of a Seminole to Fort
Stockton line.  A Fire Weather Watch is in effect for these areas
Tuesday afternoon and early evening.

Rolling Plains, Permian Basin, and lower Trans Pecos. Large hail and
damaging winds are the anticipated threats, but an isolated tornado
cannot be ruled out.

A Red Flag Warning is in effect through mid evening.

Strong southwest to west winds will continue in the Guadalupe
Mountains, where a High Wind Warning remains in effect.

A few thunderstorms are possible across the northern Permian Basin
tonight. Primary threats are gusty wind and small hail.

Strong west winds are expected to continue in the Guadalupe

This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of southeast New
Mexico, southwest Texas and western Texas.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

Strong winds and extremely critical fire weather conditions expected
by this afternoon. A Red Flag Warning is in effect this afternoon
and evening for all of Southeast New Mexico and much of West Texas,
mainly west of the Pecos.

Thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and tonight, along and
east of a Hobbs to Fort Stockton line. Any storms that develop will
be accompanied by frequent lightning, gusty winds, and small hail. A
few storms may become severe, with damaging winds and large hail.

Strong southwest to west winds are expected in the Guadalupe, Davis,
and Apache Mountains, as well as on the adjacent plains.  This
includes portions of the Permian Basin and Western Low Rolling
Plains. A High Wind Warning is in effect this afternoon and tonight.
Elsewhere, breezy conditions are anticipated, and a Wind Advisory is
in effect.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

Strong west winds are expected to continue in the Guadalupe
Mountains Friday. A High Wind Warning is in effect.

A powerful upper level storm system will pass through the region
today and Friday, resulting in strong winds and extremely critical
fire weather conditions. The pattern expected today has in the past
produced large and difficult to control wildfires. A Red Flag
Warning is in effect this afternoon and evening for all of Southeast
New Mexico and much of West Texas, mainly west of the Pecos.

east of a dryline extending from Tatum, to Wink, to Sanderson.  Any
storms that do develop will be accompanied by frequent lightning,
gusty winds, and small hail.  A few storms may be severe, with
damaging winds and large hail expected.

and Apache Mountains, as well as on the adjacent plains.  This
includes portions of the Permian Basin and Western Low Rolling

An powerful upper level storm system will pass through the region
Thursday and Friday, resulting in strong winds and extremely critical
fire weather conditions. The pattern expected Thursday has in the
past produced large and difficult to control wildfires. A Red Flag
Warning is in effect Thursday afternoon and evening for the Southeast
New Mexico Plains, Guadalupe and Davis Mountains, Trans Pecos Region,
Big Bend Region and portions of the western Permian Basin.

Strong west winds are expected in the Guadalupe Mountains. A High
Wind Warning is in effect Thursday afternoon through Friday for west
winds 35 to 50 mph gusting to 70 mph.
