HEAVY RAINFALL WILL BE POSSIBLE OVER MUCH OF SOUTHEASTERN NEW MEXICO
AND WEST TEXAS THIS MORNING, ALONG WITH LOCALIZED FLASH FLOODING.
RISES COULD OCCUR ON THE RIO GRANDE RIVER, IF NOT FLOODING.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE FROM LATE THIS MORNING OVER
SOUTHWEST TEXAS, TO THE PERMIAN BASIN, LOWER TRANS PECOS AND WESTERN
LOW ROLLING PLAINS THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING.  LARGE HAIL, DAMAGING
WINDS, FREQUENT LIGHTNING STRIKES, HEAVY RAINFALL AND LOCALIZED
FLASH FLOODING WILL OCCUR WITH THESE STORMS.

A FEW STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL AND GUSTY WINDS ARE POSSIBLE
TONIGHT MOSTLY WEST OF THE MOUNTAINS OF WEST TEXAS AND SOUTHEAST NEW
MEXICO. STRONGER STORMS ARE MORE PROBABLE IN THE RIO GRANDE VALLEY
INTO THE MARFA PLATEAU.

LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN IS POSSIBLE WITH ANY THUNDERSTORMS THAT DEVELOP,
ESPECIALLY IN SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO INTO THE GUADALUPE AND DELAWARE
MOUNTAINS IN WEST TEXAS.

A DENSE FOG ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO AND THE
PERMIAN BASIN WHERE VISIBILITY COULD DROP TO ONE QUARTER MILE OR LESS
THIS EVENING INTO TONIGHT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

STRONG THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE WITH HAIL AND GUSTY WINDS ACROSS
SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO AND SOUTHWEST TEXAS SUNDAY. ISOLATED SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE BY LATE MORNING CONTINUING INTO THE
AFTERNOON ACROSS MUCH OF THE PERMIAN BASIN, STOCKTON PLATEAU AND
INTO THE EASTERN BIG BEND AREA. HAIL EXCEEDING ONE INCH IN DIAMETER
AND WIND GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH ARE POSSIBLE. A TORNADO CANNOT BE
RULED OUT.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST NEW
MEXICO, SOUTHWEST TEXAS AND WESTERN TEXAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 AM MST THURSDAY FOR THE
GUADALUPE MOUNTAINS. WEST WINDS 40 TO 50 MPH WITH GUSTS TO AROUND 65
MPH ARE EXPECTED.

THESE STRONG WINDS...COMBINED WITH RELATIVE HUMIDITY OF 15 PERCENT OR
LESS...AND HIGH TO EXTREME FIRE DANGER...WILL RESULT IN CRITICAL FIRE
WEATHER CONDITIONS IN THE GUADALUPE MOUNTAINS THIS AFTERNOON. A RED
FLAG WARNING IS IN EFFECT.

NEAR-CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL BE POSSIBLE ON THE
ADJACENT PLAINS...WHERE RELATIVE HUMIDITY OF 15 PERCENT OR LESS IS
ANTICIPATED.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

A LARGE STORM SYSTEM WILL DEVELOP TO THE WEST LATER THIS WEEK.  AT
THE SAME TIME...A COLD FRONT WILL PLOW INTO THE REGION FRIDAY...
USHERING IN COLDER AIR. THERE WILL BE A GOOD CHANCE OF RAIN
BEGINNING THURSDAY NIGHT AND CONTINUING THROUGH THE WEEKEND...WITH
EVEN A FEW THUNDERSTORMS POSSIBLE.  HEAVY RAINFALL WILL BE THE MAIN
THREAT FROM THIS STORM SYSTEM...RESULTING IN LOCALIZED FLASH FLOODING
IN LOW LYING AREAS.
