WARM TEMPERATURES THIS MORNING OF 75 TO 85 DEGREES ALONG THE RIO
GRANDE RIVER, INCLUDING PRESIDIO, LAJITAS, THE BIG BEND AREA AND
LOWER TRANS PECOS COULD RESULT IN HEAT RELATED ILLNESS.  THEREFORE,
THE HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CDT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

ALTHOUGH IT WILL REMAIN HOT OVER THE REGION THIS AFTERNOON AND
THURSDAY, DAYTIME TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO RISE TO 105 TO 110
DEGREES FRIDAY AND SATURDAY ALONG THE RIO GRANDE RIVER, IN ADDITION
TO PORTIONS OF THE UPPER TRANS PECOS.  SINCE OVERNIGHT LOW
TEMPERATURES COULD ONLY DROP TO THE 75 TO 85 DEGREE RANGE IN THESE
AREAS, AN EXCESSIVE HEAT ADVISORY MAY BE ISSUED.

ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE IN AND NEAR THE MOUNTAINS OF
SOUTHWEST TEXAS AND SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO THIS AFTERNOON INTO THE
EARLY EVENING. STRONG AND GUSTY WINDS ARE POSSIBLE WITH ANY
THUNDERSTORMS THAT DEVELOP TODAY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WILL AGAIN BE POSSIBLE SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND
EVENING...MAINLY IN AND NEAR THE MOUNTAINS OF SOUTHWEST TEXAS AND
SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO. THESE STORMS COULD PRODUCE STRONG AND GUSTY

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST NEW
MEXICO...SOUTHWEST TEXAS AND WEST TEXAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A FEW SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE OVER SOUTHEAST NEW
MEXICO AND THE NORTHERN PERMIAN BASIN THIS MORNING.  STORMS ARE NOT
EXPECTED TO BE SEVERE.

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE IN THE DAVIS MOUNTAINS THIS
AFTERNOON AND EVENING.  MORE ISOLATED STORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE FROM
THE SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO PLAINS, SOUTH THROUGH THE UPPER TRANS
PECOS, VAN HORN AREA AND PRESIDIO VALLEY.  SOME OF THESE STORMS
COULD STRENGTHEN ENOUGH TO PRODUCE HIGH WINDS, LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN
FALL AND FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING STRIKES.  A SEVERE STORM
OR TWO CANNOT BE RULED OUT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

HIGH TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO CLIMB ABOVE THE CENTURY MARK BOTH
SUNDAY AND MONDAY ACROSS THE WESTERN PERMIAN BASIN...TRANS PECOS
REGION...SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO...AND ALONG THE RIO GRANDE. WITH
OVERNIGHT LOW TEMPERATURES ONLY EXPECTED TO COOL BACK INTO THE MID
AND UPPER 70S...THE POTENTIAL FOR HEAT RELATED ILLNESS EXISTS FOR
THOSE INVOLVED IN OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES. STAY HYDRATED BY DRINKING
PLENTY OF WATER.
