THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST NEW
MEXICO...SOUTHWEST TEXAS AND WEST TEXAS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE IN THE MOUNTAINS OF SOUTHEAST
NEW MEXICO AND SOUTHWEST TEXAS AS WELL AS THE ADJACENT PLAINS FROM
SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO TO THE BIG BEND AREA THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
SOME STORMS COULD BE STRONG WITH HEAVY RAIN...WIND GUSTS EXCEEDING
50 MPH AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING. DUE TO THE SLOW MOVEMENT OF THE
STORMS...LOCALIZED FLASH FLOODING IS ALSO POSSIBLE.

A HEAT ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR THE RIO GRANDE VALLEY...INCLUDING
PRESIDIO...LAJITAS AND THE BIG BEND AREA. DUE TO THE INTENSE HEAT
ACROSS THE AREA...TAKE THE APPROPRIATE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND
DRINK PLENTY OF WATER TO AVOID HEAT RELATED ILLNESS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE OVER SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO AND
GENERALLY ALONG AND WEST OF THE MOUNTAINS OF SOUTHWEST TEXAS
TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING. SOME STORMS COULD BE STRONG WITH WIND
GUSTS EXCEEDING 50 MPH POSSIBLE.

A HEAT ADVISORY WILL CONTINUE THROUGH TUESDAY ALONG THE RIO GRANDE
VALLEY INCLUDING LAJITAS...PRESIDIO AND THE BIG BEND AREA.

TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO CLIMB WITH MOST AREAS OTHER THAN THE
MOUNTAINS SEEING TEMPERATURES ABOVE 100 DEGREES WITH TEMPERATURES
ABOVE 105 DEGREES DEVELOPING IN THE PECOS AND RIO GRANDE VALLEY BY
THURSDAY. TEMPERATURES WILL CONTINUE TO SLOWLY INCREASE ACROSS
SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO AND SOUTHWEST TEXAS THROUGH SATURDAY. EXCESSIVE
HEAT ADVISORIES MAY BE EXTENDED IN TIME AND EXPANDED TO COVER A LARGER
AREA AS THE WEEK PROGRESSES DUE TO VERY HOT DAYTIME TEMPERATURES
AND WARM NIGHTS.
