THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST NEW
MEXICO...SOUTHWEST TEXAS AND WESTERN TEXAS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

TEMPERATURES WILL WARM TO AROUND 10 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL TODAY,
AND CONTRIBUTE TO ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS AREAWIDE.
HOWEVER, SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL RISE TO 20 MPH SUSTAINED OR GREATER
IN THE GUADALUPE MOUNTAINS AND SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO PLAINS, A RED
FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THESE AREAS THROUGH MID
EVENING.

SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE LATE THIS AFTERNOON OVER
THE EASTERN PERMIAN BASIN AND LOWER TRANS PECOS. STORMS ARE
EXPECTED TO DEVELOP FARTHER WEST, GENERALLY ALONG AND EAST OF THE
PECOS RIVER TONIGHT. SOME OF THESE STORMS COULD BE SEVERE WITH
LARGE HAIL, STRONG WINDS AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

STRONG SOUTHWEST WINDS OF 35 TO 45 MPH, AND GUSTS TO 60 MPH, COULD
OCCUR IN THE GUADALUPE MOUNTAINS FRIDAY AND A HIGH WIND WARING IS
IN EFFECT THERE. IN ADDITION, CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS
COULD OCCUR IN MOST LOCATIONS ALONG AND WEST OF A LAMESA TO
MIDLAND TO SANDERSON LINE FRIDAY AFTERNOON. A RED FLAG WARNING IS
IN EFFECT FOR THESE AREAS.
