THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST NEW
MEXICO, SOUTHWEST TEXAS AND WESTERN TEXAS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL PERSIST THROUGH LATE THIS
AFTERNOON ACROSS THE SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO PLAINS SOUTH TO THE BIG
BEND AREA, MAINLY FOR LOCATIONS WEST AND SOUTH OF THE PECOS RIVER.

HIGH WINDS WILL OCCUR SPORADICALLY IN THE GUADALUPE MOUNTAINS
THROUGH TONIGHT.  A HIGH WIND WARNING IS IN EFFECT FOR SOUTHWEST TO
WEST WINDS OF 40 TO 50 MPH WITH GUSTS NEAR 65 MPH.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY

THE HIGH WIND WARNING FOR THE GUADALUPE MOUNTAINS WILL REMAIN IN
EFFECT THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT.  SOUTHWEST TO WEST WINDS OF 35 TO 45
MPH WITH GUSTS OVER 65 MPH ARE EXPECTED TO OCCUR OFF AND ON DURING
THIS TIME.

NEAR CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE POSSIBLE THROUGH WEDNESDAY
ACROSS MUCH OF THE FORECAST AREA.

A LARGE STORM SYSTEM WILL DEVELOP TO OUR WEST LATE THIS WEEK.
AT THE SAME TIME A COLD FRONT WILL DROP SOUTH FRIDAY BRINGING COLDER
AIR TO PARTS OF THE REGION. THERE WILL BE A GOOD CHANCE OF
PRECIPITATION FRIDAY INTO THE WEEKEND.  SOME OF THE PRECIPITATION
MAY FALL AS A WINTRY MIX, BUT NORTH OF THE PERMIAN BASIN SATURDAY
AND SUNDAY MORNINGS.  HOWEVER, HEAVY RAINFALL COULD BE THE MAIN
THREAT FROM THIS STORM SYSTEM, AND MAY CAUSE FLOODING OVER PARTS OF
THE AREA THIS WEEKEND.
