THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST NEW
MEXICO...SOUTHWEST TEXAS AND WEST TEXAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

ISOLATED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS...A FEW STRONG...ARE FORECAST
FOR THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING ACROSS MUCH OF SOUTHEASTERN NEW
MEXICO AND WEST TEXAS. THE BEST CHANCES FOR THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY
WILL BE ACROSS SOUTHEASTERN NEW MEXICO SOUTH ACROSS THE UPPER
TRANS PECOS OF WEST TEXAS AND INTO THE DAVIS MOUNTAINS...AND ALSO
ACROSS THE WESTERN AND CENTRAL PERMIAN BASIN. FREQUENT CLOUD-TO-GROUND
LIGHTNING AND WIND GUSTS TO NEAR 50 MPH CAN BE EXPECTED WITH ANY
THUNDERSTORM TODAY AND TONIGHT. LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL...WITH RATES
EXCEEDING A HALF-INCH PER HOUR...MAY RESULT IN LOCALIZED FLOODING OF
LOW WATER CROSSINGS...DRAWS AND ARROYOS...AND OTHER LOW LYING AREAS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

THUNDERSTORM CHANCES ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH EARLY NEXT WEEK.
THE BEST CHANCES FOR THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT WILL SHIFT SOUTH TO THE
DAVIS MOUNTAINS EAST ACROSS THE LOWER TRANS PECOS SUNDAY AND MONDAY.
THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL DECREASE TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY...WITH
ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED OVER THE MOUNTAINS AND ADJACENT PLAINS.
AS WITH THE THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY TODAY AND TONIGHT...STORMS EARLY
NEXT WEEK WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL...WIND
GUSTS NEAR 50 MPH...AND FREQUENT CLOUD-TO-GROUND LIGHTNING.

THE PROBABILITY FOR WIDESPREAD HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS LOW.
