FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR WEST TEXAS/SOUTHEASTERN NEW MEXICO
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MIDLAND/ODESSA TX
242 PM CDT SUN AUG 31 2014

.DISCUSSION...
WARM TEMPERATURES WILL DROP MINIMUM AFTERNOON HUMIDITIES TO 12 TO
15 PERCENT MONDAY AND TUESDAY ACROSS PORTIONS OF THE SOUTHEAST
NEW MEXICO PLAINS...UPPER TRANS PECOS...VAN HORN HIGHWAY 54 CORRIDOR
AND GUADALUPE MOUNTAINS, HOWEVER LIGHT TO MODEST WINDS WILL
PREVENT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS FROM DEVELOPING. COOLING
TEMPERATURES LATER IN THE WEEK WILL INCREASE THE MINIMUM HUMIDITY.
ISOLATED STORMS IN AND AROUND THE DAVIS MOUNTAINS COULD BRING A
LOW POTENTIAL FOR LIGHTNING STARTS MONDAY AND TUESDAY AFTERNOON.
OVERNIGHT RECOVERY WILL GENERALLY BE FAIR TO GOOD.
