FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR WEST TEXAS/SOUTHEASTERN NEW MEXICO
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MIDLAND/ODESSA TX
350 AM CST WED FEB 10 2016

.DISCUSSION...
FUELS CONTINUE TO UNDERGO SIGNIFICANT DRYING IN AN EXTENDED WARM AND
DRY PATTERN. THE LONGER TERM DRYING IS EVIDENT IN THE MEMORY OF THE
ERC`S REFLECTION OF "STEEP" DRYING. THE COMBINATION OF ABOVE NORMAL
TEMPERATURES AND MINIMUM RH/S NEAR 10 PCT TODAY RESULT IN HEIGHTENED
CONCERNS. WINDS AVERAGING AROUND 15 MPH PRECLUDES GREATER CONCERNS
TODAY. ALTHOUGH THERE WILL BE WEAK FRONTS OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS THAT
WILL SLOW THE TRENDS SOME, THERE ARE NO SIGNS OF SUBSTANTIAL RELIEF.
AS SUCH IT WILL BE IMPORTANT TO WATCH THE WIND FORECAST OVER THE NEXT
WEEK OVER OR SO.
