FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR WEST TEXAS/SOUTHEASTERN NEW MEXICO
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MIDLAND/ODESSA TX
432 AM CDT FRI APR 17 2015

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY THIS EVENING
FOR 20 FT WINDS OF 20 MPH OR GREATER...RELATIVE HUMIDITIY OF 15
PERCENT OR LESS...AND VERY HIGH FIRE DANGER FOR THE GUADALUPE
MOUNTAINS...

.DISCUSSION...
VERY DRY AIR WILL SPREAD EAST TODAY ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA
HOWEVER WINDS REMAIN BELOW 20 MPH ALL AREAS EXCEPT THE GUADALUPE
MOUNTAINS WHERE STRONGER MID LEVEL WINDS WILL BE ABLE TO MIX DOWN
INTO THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS. SATURDAY DRY AIR WILL SPREAD EVEN
FARTHER EAST BUT ONCE AGAIN WINDS WILL BE A LIMITING FACTOR IN
WHETHER CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS DEVELOP. OVERNIGHT
RECOVERY WILL BE FAIR TO GOOD.
