Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
Nantional Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
739 PM CST Sat Feb 25 2017

...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT from the guadalupe mountains
SUNDAY...

.DISCUSSION...

The Guadalupe Mtns are of greatest concern the next 24-30 hrs as low
RH, poor recovery, and windy conditions will yield Critical
conditions Sunday afternoon. RH/s will be 15 percent or less for
most of the remainder of the area Sunday, with Elevated fire weather
conditions for portions of SE NM/Upper Trans Pecos where winds will
near 20 mph. Increasing winds and dry/warm conditions early next week
may result in more widespread critical fire weather concerns by
Tuesday.
