Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
Nantional Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
159 PM CST Mon Feb 20 2017

.DISCUSSION...
Much above normal high temperatures and dry conditions will increase
fire weather concerns most days through Thursday. For late this
afternoon, dry and breezy conditions will produce near critical
fire weather conditions across the southeast New Mexico plains
and northwest Permian Basin. More near critical fire weather conditions
are possible across much of the region Wednesday afternoon as min
rh/s drop to 10 to 15 percent with southwest winds of 15 to 20 mph
expected. Thursday is shaping up to be a potentially significant fire
weather day across west Texas and southeast New Mexico as a powerful
storm system passes by to the north.
