FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR WEST TEXAS/SOUTHEASTERN NEW MEXICO
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MIDLAND/ODESSA TX
404 AM CDT TUE MAY 5 2015

.DISCUSSION...

NEAR TO SLIGHTLY ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES AND A CONTINUING CHANCE
OF RAIN WILL LIMIT FIRE WEATHER CONCERNS SOMEWHAT, ESPECIALLY OVER
THE PERMIAN BASIN. MINIMUM AFTERNOON RH/S WILL DROP NEAR TO BELOW
15 PERCENT GENERALLY ALONG AND WEST OF A HOBBS TO BIG BEND LINE THE
NEXT FEW AFTERNOONS. HOWEVER, RECENT RAINFALL OVER SE NM, AND 20
FOOT WINDS LESS THAN 20 MPH SUSTAINED WILL LIKELY PREVENT CRITICAL
FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS FROM OCCURRING.

FOR POINT-SPECIFIC FORECASTS PLEASE SEE THE POINT FIRE WEATHER MATRIX
