...A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT TONIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY FOR THE
MARFA PLATEAU... BIG BEND... DAVIS MOUNTAINS... TRANS PECOS...
AND CENTRAL PERMIAN BASIN...

.AN UPPER LEVEL LOW MOVING UP FROM MEXICO WILL BRING THE POTENTIAL
OF HEAVY RAIN TO MUCH OF THE AREA TONIGHT AND SATURDAY.  PARTS OF
THE AREA RECEIVED A HALF INCH OR MORE OF RAIN THIS MORNING WITH
THE GROUND BECOMING SATURATED.  ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAINFALL AMOUNTS
OF 1 TO 2 INCHES IS POSSIBLE AND WOULD LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING.
SCATTERED SHOWERS WERE OCCURRING OVER THE TRANS PECOS THIS AFTERNOON
BUT THE HEAVIER RAIN SHOULD SPREAD UP FROM MEXICO TONIGHT MOVING
NORTHWARD ACROSS THE MARFA PLATEAU AND BIG BEND.  ON SATURDAY THIS
HEAVY RAIN SHOULD SHIFT NORTHWARD INTO THE TRANS PECOS AND PORTIONS
OF THE PERMIAN BASIN.  AREA RESIDENTS SHOULD STAY TUNED FOR LATER
UPDATES OR POSSIBLE WARNINGS.

  WEST TEXAS...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS...IN SOUTHWEST
  TEXAS...REEVES COUNTY AND UPPER TRANS PECOS AND VAN HORN AND
  HIGHWAY 54 CORRIDOR. IN WEST TEXAS...CRANE...ECTOR...
  GLASSCOCK...LOVING...MIDLAND...REAGAN...UPTON...WARD AND
  WINKLER.

* FROM 7 PM CDT THIS EVENING THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING

* DONT DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD. THE WATER MAY
  BE DEEPER THAN IT APPEARS AND LESS THAN A FOOT OF RUSHING WATER
  CAN FLOAT MANY VEHICLES. IF YOU ENCOUNTER WATER FLOWING ACROSS A
  ROADWAY...TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN.

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
