PREV DISCUSSION... /issued 303 AM CDT WED SEP 30 2015/

Looks like more quiet weather is on tap through the day Friday
due to an upper level ridge remaining over the area. High
temperatures will generally remain above normal under the ridge.
The exception will be the extreme western Low Rolling Plains where
surface ridging will feed cooler easterly low level flow into that

For Friday night through the weekend a transition will take place
in the upper levels as the aforementioned upper ridge is forecast
to break down and be replaced by a dampening upper level trough
translating across the Rockies and Plains. Precipitation chances
will increase as the upper level trough impinges upon a southward
moving cold front. Due the dampening nature of the trough, am not
expecting a significant precipitation event. Temperatures will
cool to below normal values by Sunday due to the front.

Beyond Sunday through the middle of next week there is significant
disagreement between the guidance with the timing and intensity
of the next trough/upper low approaching from the Rockies. For now
prefer to go with the superblend solution keeping a slight chance
of showers and thunderstorms going through this period with near
normal high temperatures.
