Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
512 AM CST TUE DEC 1 2015

See 12z aviation discussion below.

There is a chance of fog/freezing fog this morning across the area.
MAF would be the most likely terminal to experience fog but the
high clouds over the area are somewhat hindering fog development.
Otherwise, VFR conditions will prevail. Winds are expected to
remain light and mostly variable.

.PREV DISCUSSION... /issued 236 AM CST TUE DEC 1 2015/

Westerly mid level flow today in advance of a broad mid level
trof axis reflects a loose MSLP gradient and some low level
thermal ridging. As said trof axis swings thru a loosely
identifiable Pacific front will advance Wed AM. Thereafter dry
NW mid level flow Wed/Thur will transition to the SW by later
Fri PM with little sensible wx change expected, except colder
Thur AM and increased se winds Fri. Mid level flow continues to
back into Sat while models divergence on GFS` farther s and slower
soln. As such GFS is farther s with precip and wetter in general
on Sunday. Details are still uncertain as to whether there will be
a Pacific front with the low or if there will be precip that
serves to build surface MSLP, but should be cooler Sunday. Only
modest warming Mon/Tue ahead of another upper low.
