THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LUBBOCK HAS CANCELLED THE RED
FLAG WARNING.

WESTERLY WIND SPEEDS THROUGHOUT THE AREA HAVE FALLEN BELOW 20
MPH AT THE 20-FOOT LEVEL...THEREFORE CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER
CONDITIONS WILL NOT OCCUR.

HOWEVER...AN ABRUPT WIND SHIFT BEHIND A COLD FRONT LATE THIS
AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING WILL CREATE NORTHERLY WINDS OF 25
TO 35 MPH. THIS COULD PROVE PROBLEMATIC FOR ANY HOT SPOTS OR
ONGOING BURNS.

WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 9 PM CDT
THIS EVENING.

* AFFECTED AREA...AREAS NEAR AND TO THE EAST OF INTERSTATE 27 AND
  HIGHWAY 87...AND TO THE SOUTH OF HIGHWAY 70.

* WIND...WILL BE OUT OF THE SOUTHWEST TO WEST AT 20 TO 25 MPH AT
  THE 20 FOOT LEVEL. A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE
  AREA THIS EVENING. THIS FRONT WILL BRING A SHARP WIND SHIFT TO
  THE NORTH AND AN INCREASE IN WIND SPEEDS.

* HUMIDITY...WILL FALL INTO THE 10 TO 25 PERCENT RANGE.

* TIMING...FROM 1 PM TO 9 PM.

* IMPACTS...ANY FIRES THAT DEVELOP WILL LIKELY SPREAD RAPIDLY.
  OUTDOOR BURNING IS NOT RECOMMENDED.
