FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR THE SOUTH PLAINS REGION
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LUBBOCK TX
318 PM CST SUN FEB 1 2015

.DISCUSSION...
DRIER AND WARMER CONDITIONS WILL BE IN STORE FOR THE REGION
FOR THE FIRST PART OF THE WEEK. THIS WILL RESULT IN MINIMUM
RH VALUES DROPPING INTO THE MID 30 PERCENT RANGE ON MONDAY
AND THEN THE UPPER 20S TO LOWER 30S FOR TUESDAY. NORTH WIND
TONIGHT WILL GRADUALLY RETURN TO THE SOUTHWEST ON MONDAY WITH
SPEEDS FROM 15 TO 25 MPH AND GUSTS TO 25 TO 30 MPH...ESPECIALLY
ACROSS THE WESTERN SOUTH PLAINS. RECENT RAINFALL AND HUMID
CONDITIONS HAS ALLOWED SHORT-TERM FUEL MOISTURE VALUES TO
INCREASE SO FIRE WEATHER CONCERNS ARE LOW AT THIS TIME.
