FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR THE SOUTH PLAINS AREA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LUBBOCK TX
644 AM CST SUN FEB 14 2016

.DISCUSSION...
FIRE WEATHER CONCERNS WILL BE LOW AS A WEAK COLD FRONT ARRIVES
RESULTING IN A NORTH WIND AROUND 10 MPH. TEMPERATURES WILL HOLD
CLOSE TO THE PAST COUPLE OF DAYS IF NOT A FEW DEGREES COOLER.
MINIMUM AFTERNOON RH VALUES WILL REMAIN BETWEEN 15 TO 20 PERCENT
ACROSS THE REGION. WITH DRY FUELS...IT WILL STILL BE POSSIBLE
FOR FIRE STARTS TO GROW BUT RAPID SPREAD AND WILDFIRE BEHAVIOR
IS NOT EXPECTED THANKS TO THE SLOWER WIND SPEEDS.
