FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR TEXAS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LUBBOCK TX
313 PM CDT SAT AUG 29 2015

.DISCUSSION...
SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WERE DEVELOPING ACROSS THE NORTHERN SOUTH PLAINS AND
SOUTHWESTERN TEXAS PANHANDLE WITH OTHER ISOLATED STORMS DEVELOPING OVER THE
SOUTHERN ROLLING PLAINS. COVERAGE IS NOT EXPECTED TO INCREASE MUCH THROUGH
THE EVENING BUT STORMS WILL BE ABLE TO PRODUCE SOME LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL
ALONG WITH SOME LIGHTNING STRIKES. RISK OF RAPID SPREAD OF WILDFIRE WILL BE
LOW HOWEVER THANKS TO MINIMUM RH VALUES BETWEEN 20-30 PERCENT. DRIER AND
SLIGHTLY WARMER CONDITIONS EXPECTED FOR THE FIRST PART OF NEXT WEEK WITH LOW
FIRE WEATHER CONCERNS.
