FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR THE SOUTH PLAINS AREA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LUBBOCK TX
241 PM CDT THU APR 28 2016

.DISCUSSION...
ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING WILL
BE FOLLOWED BY MORE WIDESPREAD RAIN CHANCES OVERNIGHT. A DRYLINE
WILL PUSH EAST ON FRIDAY AFTERNOON LEAVING MUCH OF THE REGION IN
VERY DRY SURFACE AIR. AFTERNOON RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES WILL BE
LESS THAN 20 PERCENT AREA WIDE WITH 20 FOOT WINDS NEAR 20 MPH.
HOWEVER...THE OVERALL COVERAGE OF CRITICAL FUELS IS LOW DUE TO
MODEST GREENING AND NEAR NORMAL ERC VALUES.

A COLD FRONT FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY NIGHT WILL BRING MUCH
COOLER AND MORE MOIST CONDITIONS THIS WEEKEND INTO EARLY NEXT
WEEK.
