Fire weather concerns remain high

A Fire Weather Watch remains in effect for Wednesday for The Guadalupe Mountains, the Van Horn area, and the Southeast New Mexico Plains for winds of 20 to 35 mph in the mountains and near 20 mph in the plains. Temperatures will be at or above record levels again and minimum RHs will be able to fall to near 10 percent.

Burn Bans remain in effect for much of west Texas. The Texas Forest Service indicates that fuels are so dry that any sparks could lead to a wildfire. Use extreme caution while outside and avoid any activities that may result in sparks.
