.DISCUSSION... A CONTINUED SUPPLY OF GULF MOISTURE WILL FEED INTO
THE FOUR STATE AREA AND PROVIDE INCREASING CHANCES FOR SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS AS AN UPPER TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE SWINGS
TOWARD AND THEN INTO THE AREA. A COLD FRONT ASSOCIATED WITH THE
ADVANCING TROUGH WILL ENHANCE THE WIDESPREAD WETTING RAINS AND
THUNDERSTORMS THROUGH TONIGHT AND EARLY FRIDAY. WINDS WILL BE
INCREASING OVER THE FIRE DISTRICTS TODAY AS A PRESSURE GRADIENT
TIGHTENS BETWEEN HIGH PRESSURE ON THE SURFACE TO THE EAST AND
SURFACE LOW PRESSURE OVER THE PLAINS. DRIER AND COOLER WEATHER
WILL RETURN IN WAKE OF THE COLD FRONT AS SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE
BUILDS INTO THE AREA THROUGH NEXT WEEK.
