.DISCUSSION... AN UPPER LEVEL RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL PERSIST
OVER THE SOUTHERN PLAINS AND MISSISSIPPI VALLEY THIS
WEEKEND...WHICH WILL MAINTAIN THE HOT AND HUMID CONDITIONS IN
PLACE. ISOLATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE BOTH
THIS AFTERNOON/EVENING AND AGAIN SUNDAY AFTERNOON/EVENING
AREAWIDE...BUT MOST LOCATIONS WILL REMAIN DRY. MIN RH/S TODAY AND
SUNDAY WILL GENERALLY RANGE FROM 40-45%...WITH 20FT AND TRANSPORT
WINDS EXPECTED TO REMAIN LIGHT. THE UPPER LEVEL RIDGE WILL BEGIN
TO FLATTEN OVER THE SOUTHERN PLAINS BY MIDWEEK...ALLOWING FOR A
WEAK COLD FRONT TO SLIP SOUTHEAST INTO THE REGION FRIDAY. THIS
WILL RESULT IN AN INCREASE IN SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS FRIDAY
AFTERNOON AND NIGHT...WITH SLIGHTLY COOLER BUT DRIER AIR
FILTERING SOUTH INTO THE AREA NEXT WEEKEND.
