THE REGION TODAY...WITH DRIER AIR MIXING SOUTHWEST ACROSS THE
REGION. TEMPERATURES THIS AFTERNOON WILL REACH THE MID 90S...WITH
MIN RH/S EXPECTED TO FALL TO 35-40%. THE DRIER AIR WILL PERSIST
THROUGH FRIDAY...ALTHOUGH A LIGHT SOUTHEAST WIND WILL RETURN TO
EAST TEXAS...SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA...AND WESTERN LOUISIANA...
RESULTING IN A GRADUAL RETURN TO MORE HUMID AIR. MIN RH/S WILL
AGAIN RANGE FROM 35-40%...EXCEPT FOR SLIGHTLY HIGHER VALUES OVER
THE ANGELINA DISTRICT. HOT AND MORE HUMID CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED
THIS WEEKEND...WITH THE SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE AREA DEPARTING THE
REGION TO THE EAST...AND AN UPPER LEVEL RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE
BUILDING EAST OVER THE AREA. NO RAIN IS EXPECTED THIS HOLIDAY
WEEKEND...ALTHOUGH THE UPPER LEVEL RIDGE MAY BEGIN TO BREAK DOWN
EARLY NEXT WEEK...ALLOWING FOR AT LEAST ISOLATED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS TO AFFECT PORTIONS OF EXTREME NORTHEAST
TEXAS...SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA...AND SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS.
