...WINTER STORM TO EFFECT ARKANSAS ON WEDNESDAY AND WEDNESDAY
NIGHT...

.DISCUSSION... AREAS OF RAIN WILL DEVELOP TONIGHT AHEAD OF THE
NEXT WINTER STORM SYSTEM TO AFFECT ARKANSAS. ALSO AREAS OF DENSE
FOG WILL FORM AFTER SUNSET AND TONIGHT. THE STORM SYSTEM AND COLD
FRONT ON WEDNESDAY WILL INCREASE PRECIPITATION CHANCES OVER ALL
OF ARKANSAS...AND BRING INITIALLY RAIN...THEN A TRANSITION TO
FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET...THEN SLEET AND SNOW...THEN ALL SNOW.
THE WINTER WEATHER WILL START OVER NORTHERN ARKANSAS WEDNESDAY
MORNING...THEN SPREAD TO THE ENTIRE STATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT.
SIGNIFICANT SLEET...SNOW AND FREEZING RAIN WILL OCCUR ACROSS
ARKANSAS..AND HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS WILL BE SEEN. ALSO GUSTY WINDS
WILL BE NOTED BEHIND THE FRONT. PRECIPITATION SHOULD END THURSDAY
MORNING...WITH COLD TEMPERATURES THROUGH THE END OF THE WEEK.
TEMPERATURES WILL BE WELL BELOW NORMAL BEHIND THE FRONT THURSDAY
AND FRIDAY. A WARMING TREND WILL BE SEEN OVER THE WEEKEND...BUT
TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN BELOW SEASONAL AVERAGES THROUGH THE
PERIOD.
