.DISCUSSION... SOUTHERLY WINDS WILL INCREASE TODAY AND BECOME
GUSTY AHEAD OF A COLD FRONT APPROACHING FROM THE WEST. INCREASING
CLOUDS WILL OCCUR WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER 70S AND
LOWER 80S. NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL SPREAD INTO
NORTHEAST ARKANSAS AND THE MISSOURI BOOTHEEL BY MID TO LATE
AFTERNOON...THEN SPREAD EASTWARD ACROSS WEST TENNESSEE AND NORTH
MISSISSIPPI THIS EVENING. A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE
POSSIBLE. DRY WEATHER WILL RETURN FRIDAY AS HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS
OVER THE REGION. TEMPERATURES WILL CONTINUE MILD. THE WARMEST AIR
THUS FAR THIS YEAR IS FORECAST TO SPREAD ACROSS THE MIDSOUTH THIS
WEEKEND WITH HIGHS MOSTLY IN THE 80S. SATURDAY WILL BE RAIN FREE
AS STRONG HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS OVER THE REGION. A CHANCE OF
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL SPREAD INTO THE MIDSOUTH SUNDAY AS
LOW PRESSURE STRENGTHENS AND MOVES INTO THE CENTRAL PLAINS.
STORMY WEATHER IS FORECAST FOR SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY AS THE LOW
PRESSURE SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED COLD FRONT MOVE EASTWARD.
