.DISCUSSION... THIS AFTERNOON AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH OF LOW
PRESSURE WAS EXTENDING SOUTHWEST INTO THE FOUR STATE REGION AND
DISTURBANCES ROUNDING THE BASE OF THIS SYSTEM WERE COMBINING WITH
AFTERNOON HEATING AND AVAILABLE MOISTURE TO PRODUCE SHOWERS AND
STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS. WITH LOSS OF AFTERNOON HEATING
THE STORMS WILL DIE DOWN OVERNIGHT AND THEN RETURN DURING THE DAY
SUNDAY AS THE PATTERN REPEATS. FOR THE START OF THE WORK WEEK THE
UPPER TROUGH WILL HAVE SHIFTED EAST AND HIGH PRESSURE RIDGE ALOFT
WILL SHIFT INTO THE FIRE DISTRICTS AND LOWER THE OVERALL RAIN
CHANCES AND CONFINE THEM TO PARTS OF ARKANSAS AND LOUISIANA. FOR
THE REST OF THE WORK WEEK THE UPPER LEVEL RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE
WILL REMAIN OVERHEAD AND ALLOW FOR LESS CONVECTION AND WARMING
TEMPERATURES.
