.DISCUSSION... AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE FROM THE GREAT LAKES TO
THE MIDSOUTH WILL LIFT NORTHEASTWARD TODAY. MEANWHILE...AN UPPER
LEVEL LOW ALONG THE ALABAMA COAST WILL MOVE TO NORTHERN GEORGIA
BY THIS EVENING. MOISTURE AND INSTABILITY WILL BE SUFFICIENT FOR
A CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS MUCH OF THE MIDSOUTH
TODAY. WARM TEMPERATURES CAN BE EXPECTED WITH LIGHT SOUTH TO
SOUTHEAST WINDS. CLOUDS WILL DECREASE FROM THE SOUTHWEST BY THIS
AFTERNOON. HIGH PRESSURE IN THE UPPER ATMOSPHERE WILL GRADUALLY
BUILD OVER THE REGION FROM THE EAST DURING THE FIRST PART OF THE
WORK WEEK. THERE WILL BE A SLIGHT CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS FROM THE MISSOURI BOOTHEEL INTO NORTHEAST ARKANSAS
MONDAY. LITTLE IF ANY RAIN IS EXPECTED TUESDAY ACROSS THE
MIDSOUTH. TEMPERATURES WILL CLIMB TO NEAR OR A LITTLE ABOVE
NORMAL WITH HOT AFTERNOONS. A SLIGHT CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS WILL OCCUR FROM EAST CENTRAL ARKANSAS INTO NORTH
MISSISSIPPI THE MIDDLE AND END OF THE WORK WEEK AS MOISTURE
INCREASES FROM THE SOUTH.
