.DISCUSSION... A LARGE AND BROAD AMPLIFIED UPPER LEVEL TROUGH OF
LOW PRESSURE WAS SWINGING ACROSS THE CENTRAL SECTIONS OF THE
COUNTRY SENDING A STRONG AND DRY COLD FRONT SOUTHEAST ACROSS THE
CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN PLAINS THAT WILL BE MOVING THROUGH THE FOUR
STATE AREA TONIGHT AND EARLY MONDAY. IN WAKE OF THE COLD FRONTAL
BOUNDARY WILL COME TIGHT PRESSURE GRADIENT RESULTING IN STRONG
AND GUSTY WINDS OF 15 TO 25 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS OF 35-40 MPH AT
TIMES. THESE WINDS ALONG WITH A DRY AIRMASS WITH LOW DEW POINTS
IN THE TEENS AND WILL PRODUCE RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES IN THE
TEENS AND TWENTIES AS WELL. A HIGH FIRE DANGER WILL RESULT DUE TO
DRY AIR...DRY FUELS DUE LITTLE RECENT RAINFALL...AND THE HIGH
WINDS. ALOFT A LONGWAVE TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE WILL BE OVER THE
EASTERN SECTIONS OF THE COUNTRY WHILE A HIGHLY AMPLIFIED RIDGE OF
HIGH PRESSURE WILL COVER THE WESTERN STATES...WHICH WILL ALLOW
FOR A DRY PATTERN FOR THIS NEXT WEEK.
