.DISCUSSION... MUCH WARMER TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TODAY AND
SUNDAY AS SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE REMAINS IN PLACE OVER THE
REGION...AND AN UPPER LEVEL RIDGE ADVANCES EAST ACROSS THE
SOUTHERN PLAINS INTO THE LOWER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY. 20 FT WINDS
ARE EXPECTED TO BE LIGHT WEST SOUTHWEST TODAY...BUT TAKE ON MORE
OF A SOUTH SOUTHWEST COMPONENT SUNDAY AS THE SURFACE HIGH
PRESSURE SYSTEM BEGINS TO DRIFT EAST OF THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER.
MIN RH/S TODAY AND SUNDAY WILL BE COMPARABLE TO WHAT WAS OBSERVED
FRIDAY...RANGING FROM 35-45%...WITH THE LOWER RH/S AGAIN OVER THE
HENDERSON/ANGELINA AS WELL AS THE LOUISIANA DISTRICTS. RH/S
SHOULD BEGIN TO INCREASE MONDAY AS LOW LEVEL MOISTURE RETURNS
NORTHWARD FROM THE GULF OF MEXICO...WELL AHEAD OF A COLD FRONT
THAT WILL DRIFT SOUTHEAST INTO THE SOUTHERN PLAINS BY TUESDAY.
THIS FRONT SHOULD ENTER NORTHEAST TEXAS... SOUTHEAST
OKLAHOMA...AND SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS TUESDAY AFTERNOON...AND SLOWLY
SINK SOUTH ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF THE REGION TUESDAY NIGHT AND
WEDNESDAY MORNING. SCATTERED SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS WILL
BE POSSIBLE NEAR THE FRONT...WITH SLIGHTLY COOLER AND DRIER AIR
GRADUALLY FILTERING SOUTH BY LATE WEEK. TEMPERATURES SHOULD
RETURN BACK DOWN TO NEAR SEASONAL NORMS BY THIS TIME NEXT WEEK.
