.DISCUSSION... AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE IN NORTHWESTERLY FLOW
ALOFT WILL MOVE SOUTHEAST FROM THE CENTRAL PLAINS INTO THE MID
SOUTH BY TONIGHT. ISOLATED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE
POSSIBLE OVER PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST ARKANSAS AND THE MISSOURI
BOOTHEEL TODAY. STORM COVERAGE SHOULD INCREASE TONIGHT AREAWIDE
WITH SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED.
THE GREATEST POTENTIAL SHOULD REMAIN ALONG AND WEST OF THE
MISSISSIPPI RIVER IN PROXIMITY TO THE BEST MOISTURE AND LIFT.
CHANCES FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL LINGER INTO THURSDAY
BEFORE THE DISTURBANCE MOVES EAST OF THE AREA. AN UPPER LEVEL
RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL REBUILD OVER THE MID SOUTH FOR FRIDAY
INTO THE FIRST PART OF NEXT WEEKEND. THIS SHOULD PROVIDE DRY
CONDITIONS ALONG WITH A RETURN TO ABOVE AVERAGE TEMPERATURES.
