.DISCUSSION... A STORMY MONDAY WITH A TORNADO WATCH FOR OUR TEXAS
ZONES SOUTH OF I-20 AND ACROSS TOLEDO BEND INTO WESTERN LOUISIANA
UNTIL 9 AM AND PERHAPS BEYOND THAT TIME FRAME FARTHER EAST FOR
KISATCHIE UNTIL NOON IN A SECOND WATCH. ALL THIS AS A SLOW MOVING
UPPER LOW OVER THE TX/OK PANHANDLE MOVES EASTWARD. IN
ADDITION...WE HAD A COLD FRONT MOVE IN LAST NIGHT AND NORTHEAST
WINDS ON THE SURFACE ARE NOT VERY DEEP...ONLY A THOUSAND FEET
ALONG THE FRONT AND 3 TO 4 KFT ALONG I-20 AND POINTS NORTH.
ANGELINA IS THE ONLY ZONE STILL WITH SE WINDS AND THIS IS WHERE
THE MOIST GULF FLOW IS FEEDING THE STRONGEST STORMS. RAINFALL
WILL BE HEAVIEST TODAY...BUT LINGERING TOMORROW UNTIL THE UPPER
LOW MOVES EAST. IT WILL BE COOLER AND EVENTUALLY SUNNY WARMER
WITH A GOOD LONG PERIOD TO DRY OUT MIDWEEK AND THROUGH THE COMING
WEEKEND.
