Heavy Rain on September 13-14, 2007
 
The satellite showed Tropical Storm Humberto moving toward the Texas Gulf Coast during the afternoon of 09/12/2007. The month started with heavy precipitation across mainly northern and central Arkansas (on September 4th through the 9th). On the 13th/14th, it appeared southern sections of the state were in for some rain.
In the picture: The satellite showed Tropical Storm Humberto moving toward the Texas Gulf Coast during the afternoon of 09/12/2007. Humberto eventually became a hurricane before making landfall.

 

Hurricane Humberto arrived along the Texas Gulf Coast just north of Houston early on the 13th. Moisture with the remnants of Humberto spread across the Gulf Coast states...with several inches of rain from central Louisiana into northern Mississippi and northern Alabama. Rain also worked into southern Arkansas, with amounts generally under an inch. Twenty four hour rainfall through 7 am CDT on 09/14/2007.
