| High pressure, which tends to become dominant as Summer begins, tended to avoid Arkansas in June. This allowed
storm systems and fronts to bring chances of rain to the state. Precipitation routinely arrived in the western counties, but was more spotty in the east. There
were several rounds of severe weather, with widespread wind damage on the 1st. |
