HIGHLIGHTS
November 2, 1951: Hard freeze in most of the state with many lows in
the teens, 2 to 6 inches of snow in the northwest.
November 11, 1976: Early Arctic outbreak brings 8 inches of snow to
Harrison, then light to moderate snow falls on central and southern
sections on the 13th and 14th.
November 13-15, 1955: Late heat wave results in widespread highs in
the 80s. Dumas hits 90 on the 14th.
November 15, 1988: Tornadoes rake central and north central sections,
the new gymnasium at Southside-Bee Branch High School is destroyed.
November 18-19, 1988: Excessive rains across the state with 11 inches
over two days in the Little Rock area. Serious river flooding on
the Ouachita and Saline rivers followed.
November 21-22, 1929: Heavy snow mostly in southern, central, and
eastern sections with up to 8 inches, followed by bitter cold.
November 25, 1926: Major Thanksgiving Day tornado outbreak with
Cleburne, Faulkner, and Jefferson counties hardest hit; 52 fatalities
in all.
November 27, 2005: Two dozen tornadoes were spawned from southwest
through central and north central Arkansas...affecting a 20 county area.
The strongest tornadoes (F3) moved through Conway and Perry Counties,
with the only fatality during the event occurring just west of
Plumerville (Conway County).
November 29, 1976: Gilbert hits 0 degrees and most lows across the
state were in single digits and teens.
