Severe Storms on December 20, 2012 (Damage Pictures)
 
A weak tornado (rated EF1) was spawned 2 to 3 miles west of Sheridan (Grant County) and a bowing line of storms produced straight-line wind damage across portions of Grant and Jefferson Counties during the early morning hours of December 20, 2012. A weak tornado (rated EF1) was spawned 2 to 3 miles west of Sheridan (Grant County) during the early morning hours of December 20, 2012. Closer to town and farther east toward Samples (Jefferson County), a bowing line of storms produced damaging straight-line winds (60 to 80 mph) that caused some structural damage.
 
A tornado destroyed this mobile home close to the intersection of County Road 43 and Shoemaker Road west of Sheridan (Grant County).
