The heat in the south/west along with high humidity levels fueled another round of showers and thunderstorms late on the 11th and early on the 12th.  The satellite showed a new MCS (Mesoscale Convective System...or large cluster of showers and thunderstorms) heading from northeast Texas and southern Oklhoma into southern Arkansas during the early morning hours of 06/12/2012.

There was not as much severe weather this time, but rain was more substantial. Fallen trees blocked Colonel Glenn Road about 7 miles northwest of Alexander (Pulaski County). A few trees were also pushed over at Stephens (Ouachita County). As far as precipitation, more than three inches of rain was measured in places. Higher amounts in the southeast were the result of both rounds of precipitation featured in this event.
