Severe Weather on January 22, 2012 (Damage Pictures)
 
Tornadoes caused extensive damage in parts of southern Arkansas on 01/22/2012. A tornado (rated EF2) tracked through the north side of Fordyce (Dallas County) and northwest of Kingsland (Cleveland County) during the evening of January 22, 2012. Another tornado (rated EF2) slammed into the Sweden (Jefferson County) community. The tornadoes caused extensive damage.
 
Much of the bathhouse at the Fordyce County Club was blown into the pool.

North of town, a steel transmission tower was mangled along Arkansas Highway 273.

This residence was heavily damaged (roof partly removed and a collapsed wall) on the northwest side of town.
