Little to no precipitation is in the forecast until a cold front pushes through the region from the Plains on the 29th/30th. The front will bring good chances for showers, but it appears rainfall amounts will do little to change an otherwise dry month.

A Look Ahead

Colder air will follow the front to begin December. It appears the front may stall along the Gulf Coast, with a storm system forming along the front. There are indications that the system will intensify as it heads to the northeast. This could lead to a heavy rain and severe weather event in the southeast United States on the 1st/2nd. In Arkansas, there could be some wintry precipitation as moisture wraps around the system.

This scenario will depend heavily on the track and strength of the system. Data has fluctuated greatly on where the system forms, and how strong the system becomes. This situation will be monitored closely. Stay tuned.
