ONCE AGAIN...RECORD RAINS PLAGUED ARKANSAS DURING THE MONTH OF MAY.
THE FIRST BOUT BEGAN ON APRIL 30TH...AND LASTED INTO THE 3RD. THE SECOND
ROUND OF HEAVY RAINFALL LASTED FROM AROUND MAY 20TH THROUGH THE 25TH.

THE HEAVIEST RAINS DURING THE SPRING AFFECTED NORTHERN...WESTERN...AND A
LARGE PART OF CENTRAL ARKANSAS. SOUTHEAST ARKANSAS...UNFORTUNATELY...
CONTINUED TO HAVE A SIGNIFICANT RAINFALL DEFICIT.

ALL OF THE RECORD RAINFALL PRODUCED RECORD FLOODING ALONG THE WHITE AND
BLACK RIVERS IN NORTHERN AND EASTERN ARKANSAS...WITH HIGH RIVER STAGES
EXPECTED TO LAST INTO EARLY JUNE ALONG THE WHITE RIVER.
