...DAMAGE SURVEYS ARE ONGOING ACROSS ARKANSAS...

SEVERAL STRONG LONG TRACK TORNADOES WERE SPAWNED DURING THE
AFTERNOON AND EVENING OF FRIDAY...APRIL 30TH. THE TORNADOES WERE
MAINLY IN NORTHERN AND CENTRAL ARKANSAS.

AT LEAST TEN TORNADOES HAVE BEEN CONFIRMED IN THE LITTLE ROCK COUNTY
WARNING AREA. ALL OF THESE TORNADO TRACKS HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY
SURVEYED.

    COUNTIES AFFECTED: CONWAY...VAN BUREN
    CLASSIFICATION:    EF3...136-165 MPH
    STARTING POINT:    3 MILES ENE OF JERUSALEM
    ENDING POINT:      3.2 MILES NW OF CLINTON
    PATH LENGTH:       20.3 MILES
    NOTES:             THIS TORNADO HIT THE SCOTLAND
                       COMMUNITY...9 MILES SOUTHWEST OF
                       CLINTON

    COUNTIES AFFECTED: VAN BUREN...STONE
    CLASSIFICATION:    EF1...86-110 MPH
    STARTING POINT:    5.6 MILES NW OF SHIRLEY
    ENDING POINT:      1 NE OF FOX
    PATH LENGTH:       8.7 MILES
    NOTES:             THIS TORNADO WAS SPAWNED BY THE SAME
                       STORM THAT PRODUCED THE SCOTLAND TORNADO

                       A CHURCH WAS DESTROYED...AS WELL AS A
                       POWER STATION

    ENDING POINT:      1 MILE WNW OF BELFAST
    PATH LENGTH:       2.8 MILES
    NOTES:             THIS TORNADO WAS PRODUCED BY THE SAME
                       STORM THAT SPAWNED THE EAST END TORNADO.
                       THERE WAS ROOF DAMAGE TO A HOME AND A CHURCH
                       AND HALF OF A BARN ROOF WAS REMOVED. THERE
                       WERE ALSO NUMEROUS TREES BLOWN DOWN

    STARTING POINT:    0.2 MILES WSW OF PRICE PLACE
    ENDING POINT:      2.7 MILES ENE OF PRICE PLACE
    PATH LENGTH:       2.9 MILES
    NOTES:             THERE WAS ROOF AND SIDING DAMAGE TO SIX HOMES
                       AND NUMEROUS TREES WERE UPROOTED OR SNAPPED

10. TORNADO #10
    COUNTIES AFFECTED: DALLAS
    CLASSIFICATION:    EF1...86-110 MPH
    STARTING POINT:    0.8 MILES WSW OF CARTHAGE
    ENDING POINT:      1.1 MILES NNE OF CARTHAGE
    PATH LENGTH:       1.8 MILES
    NOTES:             A MOBILE HOME WAS BLOWN OFF ITS FOUNDATION AND
                       PART OF THE ROOF REMOVED. IN ADDITION...THE
                       MOBILE HOME HAD LIMBS THROUGH THE ROOF AND
                       ITS WINDOWS BLOWN OUT. NUMEROUS TREES...POWER
                       LINES...AND POWER POLES WERE BLOWN DOWN
