During the afternoon of May 20, 2013, a tornado (rated EF5) tore through Moore, OK. Neighborhoods were reduced to rubble, including the houses surrounding the Plaza Towers Elementary School. The school was also destroyed. Tragically, seven children inside the school were killed.
