Daily Forecast Planned for Spring River at Hardy (Sharp County)

The Spring River is flashy in times of heavy to excessive rain. Rapid rises can lead to flooding in a matter of hours. Such was the case in March, 2008, when the river came up more than 15 feet at Hardy (Sharp County) late on the 18th/early on the 19th (the second highest crest on record). People were evacuated, and the town was overwhelmed by high water.
