COOLEST IN TWO YEARS. THE MONTH STARTED OUT BELOW NORMAL AFTER THE
DECEMBER SNOW HAD FINALLY MELTED. BY THE END OF THE FIRST
WEEK...HOWEVER...A WEATHER PATTERN CHANGE BROUGHT ABOUT MUCH WARMER
TEMPERATURES...WITH READINGS IN THE 70S BY THE 12TH. THIS ALSO
USHERED IN A PERIOD OF RAINY WEATHER...WITH SEVERAL INCHES OF RAIN
FROM THE 8TH THROUGH THE 13TH. BY THE 14TH...HOWEVER...COLDER
WEATHER RETURNED...WITH A MIX OF LIGHT WINTRY PRECIPITATION ON THE
14TH AND 15TH. THOUGH IT DID NOT AMOUNT TO MUCH...IT WAS STILL THE
FIRST MEASURABLE JANUARY SNOWFALL SINCE 2011. THERE WERE MORE
ALTERNATING PERIODS OF WARM AND COOL WEATHER DURING THE MONTH...WITH
HIGH TEMPERATURES BACK IN THE 70S ON THE 28TH AND 29TH. THE FINAL
