SUMMARY
===========================================================================
AT LITTLE ROCK...THIS YEAR WAS THE COLDEST SINCE 2003 IN TERMS OF AVERAGE
TEMPERATURE. THE AVERAGE HIGH WAS COLDEST SINCE 2009. THE AVERAGE LOW
TEMPERATURE WAS THE COLDEST SINCE 1996.

THROUGH THE YEAR...THERE WERE ONLY THREE MONTHS WITH AN AVERAGE
TEMPERATURE ABOVE NORMAL...WITH SEPTEMBER SEEING THE GREATEST POSITIVE
DEPARTURE FROM NORMAL AT +3.1 DEGREES. MARCH SHOWED THE GREATEST
OVER ALL DEPARTURE FROM NORMAL WITH -4.4 DEGREES. THIS WAS THE MOST
NEGATIVE DEPARTURE FROM NORMAL SINCE FEBRUARY 2010. THE HOTTEST
TEMPERATURES WERE SEEN DURING JUNE AND SEPTEMBER. THE ONLY OTHER YEAR
WHERE THE HOTTEST TEMPERATURE OCCURRED IN SEPTEMBER WAS 1947. THE COLDEST
TEMPERATURE OCCURRED DURING DECEMBER.

THIS YEAR...THERE WERE ONLY TWO DAILY RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURES
SET...AS OPPOSED TO THE 11 WHICH WERE SET LAST YEAR. IN FACT...COLD
AIR THE FIRST WEEK OF MAY BROUGHT LITTLE ROCK ITS FIRST RECORD LOW
TEMPERATURES IN NEARLY THREE YEARS.

THROUGH EACH MONTH...RAINFALL WAS USUALLY WITHIN AN INCH AND A HALF
ABOVE OR BELOW NORMAL. THE MOST RAIN FELL IN MAY...WITH 7.16
INCHES...OR 2.29 INCHES ABOVE NORMAL.

FOR THE 12TH YEAR IN A ROW...MEASURABLE SNOW FELL. HOWEVER...FOR THE
FIRST TIME SINCE 2009...SNOWFALL WAS BELOW NORMAL. SNOW FELL IN THREE
MONTHS...AND MEASURABLE SNOW FELL IN TWO MONTHS.
