2009...MAKING IT THE WETTEST YEAR ON RECORD.

IT WAS THE SNOWIEST YEAR SINCE 2003...AND THE 8TH SNOWIEST YEAR ON
RECORD.

ON JANUARY 8TH...THE LOW OF 10 WAS THE COOLEST TEMPERATURE RECORDED
AT NORTH LITTLE ROCK SINCE SINCE JANUARY OF 2003. THE HIGH OF 24 ON
THE 8TH WAS THE COLDEST HIGH TEMPERATURE IN JANUARY SINCE 1999...AND
THE 6TH COLDEST HIGH TEMPERATURE EVER RECORDED IN THE MONTH.

IN FEBRUARY...THE AVERAGE SNOW DEPTH OF 0.4 INCHES WAS THE MOST IN
ONE MONTH SINCE FEBRUARY OF 2003...AND THE 4TH HIGHEST AVERAGE DEPTH
ON RECORD FOR THE MONTH. THERE WERE SIX CONSECUTIVE DAYS WITH A SNOW
DEPTH OF ONE INCH OR GREATER...WHICH WAS THE 5TH LONGEST PERIOD ON
RECORD...AND THE LONGEST PERIOD SINCE FEBRUARY 1ST-9TH OF 1985. THE
5.4 INCHES OF SNOW THAT FELL IN A 24-HOUR PERIOD ON FEBRUARY 8TH-9TH
WAS THE 6TH HIGHEST 24-HOUR SNOWFALL ON RECORD. THE 5.0 INCHES

THAN NORMAL.

IN AUGUST...THE HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 104 ON THE 4TH WAS THE HOTTEST
TEMPERATURE RECORDED AT LITTLE ROCK SINCE AUGUST 3RD OF 2008. ON THE
15TH...THE LOW OF 82 DEGREES WAS THE WARMEST LOW SINCE AUGUST 2007...
AND THE 2ND HIGHEST LOW TEMPERATURE ON RECORD IN THE MONTH OF AUGUST
AND IN ANY GIVEN YEAR.

THERE WERE 95 DAYS WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES OF 90 DEGREES OR GREATER.
THIS WAS THE HIGHEST AMOUNT IN A YEAR SINCE 1998.

OF THESE 90-DEGREE DAYS...42 OF THEM WERE CONSECUTIVE FROM JULY 14TH
THROUGH AUGUST 24TH. THIS WAS THE MOST SINCE 1980...AND THE 2ND
