WARMEST SINCE 2007.

IT WAS THE DRIEST YEAR SINCE 2005...AND THE 14TH DRIEST YEAR ON
RECORD. THIS WAS QUITE A REMARKABLE TURNAROUND FROM THE 81.79 INCHES
IN 2009...WHICH MADE LAST YEAR THE WETTEST ON RECORD.

IT WAS THE SNOWIEST YEAR SINCE 1988.

ON JANUARY 8TH...THE LOW OF 12 WAS THE COOLEST TEMPERATURE SINCE DECEMBER
2004. IN FEBRUARY...THE AVERAGE SNOW DEPTH OF 0.5 INCHES WAS THE MOST IN ONE
MONTH SINCE JANUARY OF 2000. THERE WERE SIX CONSECUTIVE DAYS WITH A SNOW
DEPTH OF ONE INCH OR GREATER...WHICH WAS THE 10TH LONGEST PERIOD ON RECORD...
AND THE LONGEST PERIOD SINCE FEBRUARY 1ST-6TH OF 1985. ON FEBRUARY 8TH...
7.2 INCHES OF SNOW FELL. THIS WAS THE MOST IN ONE MONTH SINCE JANUARY OF
2000...AND THE MOST IN ONE DAY SINCE JANUARY 6TH OF 1988. IT WAS THE 10TH
HIGHEST CALENDAR DAY SNOWFALL ON RECORD.

THE FINAL FREEZE WAS ON MARCH 4TH. THE FIRST 80-DEGREE DAY WAS ON MARCH
31ST...WHICH WAS THE LATEST SINCE 2001. THE FIRST 90-DEGREE DAY OCCURRED ON
MAY 5TH...WHICH WAS A BIT EARLIER THAN THE NORMAL OF MAY 19TH.

IN AUGUST...THE HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 107 ON THE 3RD WAS THE HOTTEST TEMPERATURE
RECORDED AT LITTLE ROCK SINCE AUGUST 30TH OF 2000...WHEN THE MERCURY HIT 109.
THE DAILY AVERAGE TEMPERATURES OF 93.0 ON THE 3RD AND 4TH WERE THE WARMEST
DAILY AVERAGE TEMPERATURES RECORDED SINCE JULY OF 1998...AND THE 8TH AND 9TH
HOTTEST DAILY AVERAGE TEMPERATURES ON RECORD. THE LOW TEMPERATURES OF 81 ON
THE 4TH AND 15TH WERE THE 8TH AND 9TH WARMEST LOW TEMPERATURES ON RECORD.

THERE WERE 117 DAYS WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES OF 90 DEGREES OR GREATER. THIS SET
AN ALL-TIME RECORD FOR 90-DEGREE DAYS AT LITTLE ROCK IN A YEAR...BREAKING THE
PREVIOUS RECORD OF 115...WHICH WAS SET IN 1998 AND 1954.

OF THESE 90-DEGREE DAYS...60 OF THEM WERE CONSECUTIVE FROM JUNE 30TH THROUGH
AUGUST 28TH. THIS WAS THE MOST SINCE 1954...AND THE GREATEST NUMBER OF

70 DEGREES. THIS 77-DAY PERIOD MARKED THE LONGEST PERIOD OF CONSECUTIVE DAYS
AT OR ABOVE 70 AT LITTLE ROCK. THE PREVIOUS RECORD WAS JULY 1ST THROUGH

IT WAS THE WETTEST FEBRUARY SINCE 2004.

IT WAS THE SNOWIEST FEBRUARY SINCE 1979...AND THE 6TH SNOWIEST ON
RECORD. THE 7.2 INCHES OF SNOW WHICH FELL ON THE 8TH WAS THE MOST
IN ONE DAY IN FEBRUARY SINCE 1966...AND THE 3RD SNOWIEST DAY ON

COOLEST SINCE 2008. THERE WERE FOUR DAYS WITH HIGHS AT OR ABOVE 90...WHICH
WAS THE MOST SINCE 2006.

IT WAS THE DRIEST OCTOBER SINCE 2005.

ON THE 24TH...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM PASSED OVER LITTLE ROCK. THE STORM PRODUCED
HAIL TO 1/2 INCH IN DIAMETER. AT 63 MPH WIND GUST WAS RECORDED...WHICH WAS THE
HIGHEST WIND GUST ON RECORD IN THE MONTH OF OCTOBER. THE PREVIOUS HIGHEST
GUST WAS 60 MPH...RECORDED ON OCTOBER 26TH 1991. IT WAS ALSO THE 9TH HIGHEST
MAGNITUDE WIND GUST ON RECORD AT LITTLE ROCK.

.NOVEMBER...
THE AVERAGE HIGH...LOW...AND MONTHLY TEMPERATURES WERE THE COOLEST SINCE 2008.
THERE WERE TWO DAYS WITH HIGHS AT OR ABOVE 80 DEGREES...WHICH WAS THE MOST
SINCE 2007. THERE WERE SIX DAYS WITH LOWS AT OR BELOW FREEZING...WHICH WAS
THE MOST SINCE 2005.

IT WAS THE WETTEST NOVEMBER SINCE 2004.

.DECEMBER...
ALTHOUGH THE AVERAGE HIGH AND MONTHLY TEMPERATURES WERE SLIGHTLY
