TIED THE SMALLEST DAILY TEMPERATURE RANGE ON RECORD AT HARRISON. THE
OTHER OCCURRENCE WAS ON JANUARY 30TH 1901 /HIGH OF 21...LOW OF 19/.

LIKE EVERY FEBRUARY SINCE 2003...RAINFALL WAS BELOW NORMAL.

IT WAS THE COOLEST MARCH SINCE 2005.

THE TEMPERATURE REACHED 80 DEGREES FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 2008 ON

ON JUNE 23RD...3.95 INCHES OF RAIN FELL. THIS RANKS AS THE 5TH
WETTEST DAY ON RECORD IN THE MONTH OF JUNE AT HARRISON.

ON JUNE 23RD...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM PASSED THROUGH HARRISON. THIS
PRODUCED A 53 MPH WIND GUST...WHICH RANKS AS THE 14TH HIGHEST
MAGNITUDE WIND GUST SINCE WIND RECORDS BEGAN IN 1944.

ON JUNE 29TH...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM PASSED THROUGH HARRISON...AND
PRODUCED A 56 MPH WIND GUST. THIS RANKS AS THE 12TH HIGHEST
MAGNITUDE WIND GUST ON RECORD.

JULY...
TEMPERATURES WERE GENERALLY BELOW NORMAL. IT WAS WARMER THAN
2007...BUT COOOLER THAN EVERY JULY FROM 1997 TO 2006.

THE TEMPERATURE REACH 90 DEGREES FOR THE FIRST TIME ON JULY 18TH.
THIS IS THE LATEST FIRST 90 DEGREE DAY EVER RECORDED AT HARRISON.

IT WAS THE WETTEST JULY SINCE 1968.

AUGUST...
IT WAS THE COOLEST AUGUST SINCE 2004. IN TERMS OF AVERAGE HIGH
TEMPERATURE...IT WAS THE 7TH COOLEST AUGUST ON RECORD. IT WAS THE
FIRST AUGUST SINCE 2005 WITH NO TEMPERATURES AT OR ABOVE 100
DEGREES.

IT WAS THE 9TH WETTEST AUGUST ON RECORD AT HARRISON...AND THE
WETTEST AUGUST SINCE 1982.

SEPTEMBER...
IT WAS THE COOLEST SEPTEMBER SINCE 2006.

IT WAS THE WETTEST SEPTEMBER SINCE 1996.

THE REMNANTS OF HURRICANE IKE PASSED CLOSE TO HARRISON ON THE EARLY
MORNING HOURS OF SEPTEMBER 14TH. THIS PRODUCED THE 16TH HIGHEST
MAGNITUDE WIND GUST ON RECORD...WHICH WAS 51 MPH.

OCTOBER...
TEMPERATURES WERE GENERALLY BELOW NORMAL.

THE FIRST FREEZE OCCURRED ON OCTOBER 27TH.

IT WAS THE DRIEST OCTOBER SINCE 1999.

NOVEMBER...
TEMPERATURES AND RAINFALL WERE GENERALLY BELOW NORMAL.

THE FIRST SNOWFALL OF THE SEASON FELL ON NOVEMBER 15TH...WHEN A
TRACE OF SLEET WAS RECORDED.

DECEMBER...
IT WAS THE COOLEST DECEMBER SINCE 2000.

THE LOW TEMPERATURE OF 4 DEGREES WAS THE COLDEST AT HARRISON SINCE
JANUARY 23RD 2003.

IT WAS THE WETTEST DECEMBER SINCE 2001.

THE 2.97 INCHES OF RAIN WHICH FELL ON THE 27TH MARKED THE 8TH WETTEST
DAY ON RECORD IN THE MONTH OF DECEMBER.
